Employment must meet the detailed stream rules; exceptions require individual assessment. Offshore applicants generally receive consideration for 491 and need two years’ post-qualification experience in their nominated occupation within five years. The Job Offer and Family streams can use nationally eligible occupations. Applicants or migrating dependants living interstate are ineligible. NT does not prioritise by points score.
