  2. Eligibility for Ireland's Critical Skills Employment Visa:

    • Job Offer: To be eligible for this visa, the applicant must have a job offer from an employer in Ireland for a job that is listed in the Critical Skills Occupation List.

    • Salary: The job has to provide a minimum amount of pay. In general, occupations listed on the Critical Skills Occupation List call for a minimum wage of €32,000 per year. For all other positions not on the list, the minimum wage is €64,000 per year.

    • Qualifications: Each applicant needs to meet the qualification, skills, and experience requirements for the positions. This usually implies possession of at least a primary degree in a field related to the position.

    • Employer: The employing company must be incorporated and should have registered with Companies Registration Office and Revenue Commissioners in Ireland.

  3. Application Process for Ireland's Critical Skills Employment Visa:

    • Job Offer: Receive a formal job offer from an employer based in the Republic of Ireland for a position on the Critical Skills Occupation List.

    • Application Submission: An application has to be made by the employer or the employee through the Employment Permits Online System (EPOS).

    • Supporting Documents: Documents which should accompany a candidate’s application include a copy of the biographic passport, signed contract of employment, documents confirming qualifications and work experience, etc.

    • Fee Payment: Submit the necessary fee for the permit, which depends on the type of permit: Short Term Permit is $75, Mid Term Permit is $40 for three months and Long Term Permit is $225 for one year.

    • Processing: The application is reviewed by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment. The Ireland Critical Skills Work Permit processing time may take approximately 6-8 weeks depending on various factors.

    • Approval: On approval, the permit is issued to the employee, and he or she is allowed to start working in Ireland.
