Age Limit: Applicants must be under the age of 45 at the time of receiving an invitation to apply for the visa they are seeking.
Test of Points: Applicants must score a minimum number of points on the points test. Points are awarded based on factors such as age, English language proficiency, qualifications, work experience, and other factors.
Expression of Interest (EOI): Applicants must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the Department of Home Affairs' SkillSelect system and be invited to apply for the visa.
Nomination or Sponsorship: Applicants must be nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency or sponsored by an eligible relative residing in a designated regional area.
Requirements Of Health and Character: Applicants must meet the health and character requirements set by the Australian government.
Once your EOI is selected and you meet the requirements, you’ll surely receive an invitation from the Australian government to apply for the subclass 491 visa. Make sure to collect all necessary documents to support your visa application. This includes your passport, skills assessment, English language test results, educational qualifications, work experience documents, health assessments, and character clearances.
Make sure to complete the online visa application form and attach all required documents. Pay the visa application fee at the time of application submission.
Undergo health examinations at an approved panel physician and obtain a police clearance certificate from all countries where you have lived for more than 12 months in the past 10 years.
After submission of your application, wait for a decision from the Department of Home Affairs. This process may take several months, depending on various factors such as processing times and the completeness of your application.
