The Express Entry Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a category within Canada's Express Entry immigration system designed for individuals who have gained skilled work experience in Canada and wish to become permanent residents. Canadian experience class program is specifically tailored for individuals with Canadian work experience, making it easier for them to transition to permanent residency.
To be eligible for the Canadian Experience Class Canada, candidates must have at least one year of skilled work experience in Canada within the past three years, gained legally while on temporary status, such as a work permit. They should also meet the minimum language proficiency requirements in English or French and plan to live outside of the province of Quebec.
Language Proficiency: All applicants need to demonstrate proficiency in English or French by taking an approved language test. The language test results must meet the minimum threshold set by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to get Canadian federal skilled trades program.
Express Entry Profile: Applicants need to create an Express Entry profile and be eligible for the Federal Skilled Trades Program. They must meet the minimum requirements for education, work experience, language proficiency, and other criteria.
Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score: Applicants need to obtain enough points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to be invited to apply for permanent residency. CRS points are awarded based on factors such as age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and other additional factors (e.g., Canadian job offer, provincial nomination).
Settlement Funds (if applicable): Applicants must demonstrate that they have enough funds to support themselves and their family members (if applicable) upon arrival in Canada, unless they are currently authorized to work in Canada and meet the eligibility requirements for the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
Once you meet the eligibility criteria, create an online profile through the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website. Make sure to provide information about your skills, work experience, language ability, education, and other relevant details.
Upon completing your profile, you will also receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on factors such as age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and other additional factors like having a valid job offer or provincial nomination in terms of Canadian Experience Class.
Your profile will enter the Express Entry pool along with other eligible candidates. You will be ranked based on your CRS score, and candidates with the highest scores will receive Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence in subsequent Express Entry draws.
If you receive an ITA, you will also have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence, including supporting documents and fees. Ensure all information provided is accurate and up-to-date to get the Canadian Experience Class.
